The answer and my view about it!

3,6 millions de pages Web, des centaines de bouquins, des forums, des documentaires… tous évoquent la fin du monde, prévue le 21 décembre 2012, selon le calendrier Maya. Si certains y croient fermement, nos chefs religieux, eux, réfutent catégoriquement ces théories !
La planète Nibiru va s’écraser sur la Terre, les pôles magnétiques vont s’inverser, un énorme volcan va se réveiller et tout détruire sur son passage, un astéroïde va s’écraser sur la Terre… Les théories sur la fin du monde augmentent de jour en jour. Les sites internet tentent de réunir les preuves scientifiques et donnent des conseils de survie. On cherche à cerner le phénomène : aux forums et vidéos qui animent la Toile s’ajoutent désormais des documentaires. La rumeur court, elle enfle et certains commencent à se laisser emporter par cette vague.
« Je n’y crois pas, mais on en parle tellement à la télé, sur le web, que quelque fois j’ai des doutes. En ce qui concerne la date, je ne crois pas que ce sera le 21 décembre 2012, mais je sais que la fin approche », dit Robert (prénom fictif), 38 ans, employé dans le secteur public.
Les rumeurs les plus folles circulent et tout découle du célèbre calendrier Maya qui s’arrêterait au 21 décembre 2012. « Tout a commencé avec une traduction du calendrier Maya qui prédit des changements radicaux voire la fin du monde pour 2012 en se basant sur le Tzolk’in. Toutefois, cette prophétie a été rejetée par les scientifiques qui ont prouvé qu’il y avait une erreur de calcul, car le calendrier des Mayas se termine deux siècles plus tard », explique le tarologue Pierre Manoury.
Et qui plus est, selon Pierre Manoury, le calendrier Maya n’évoque en aucun lieu la fin du monde, mais la fin d’un cycle qui peut également se traduire comme la fin d’un mode de pensée.
Pour notre interlocuteur, « certaines personnes ont profité de la situation pour colporter des ragots », sans pour autant nier qu’une fin du monde est possible, mais on ne sait pas quand.
Sookdeo Rungoo, conservateur en Physics au sein du Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre (RGSC), rien n’est prévu pour l’année 2012. « Toutes les histoires qu’on a entendues sur les soi-disant planètes ou astéroïdes qui vont heurter la Terre sont des rumeurs. Si de telles choses allaient arriver, on les aurait déjà repérées depuis des années », confie le scientifique. Selon lui, le seul événement qui risque de se produire le 21 décembre 2012 est le solstice d’été. « C’est ainsi que dans l’hémisphère sud, le solstice d’été correspond au jour le plus le long de l’année. Le jour sera plus long que la nuit. Car ce jour-là, le soleil passe à la verticale de l’un des deux tropiques. C’est un événement qui a lieu chaque année », explique Sookdeo Rungoo.
Nos chefs religieux en rient
Pour l’Iman Jamil Chooramun, la fin du monde est proche, mais n’est pas prévue cette année. « C’est faux et archi faux, la fin est proche certes, car en se basant sur le Saint Coran, les signes qui annoncent la fin des temps sont déjà visibles, mais pas toutes » explique Jamil Chooramun. Selon l’Imam, les signes, prédits par le Saint Coran, qui annoncent la fin des temps augmentent de jour en jour.
« Les gens sont de plus en plus trempés dans l’adultère, ou encore nous avons vu comme il était prédit, qu’une maladie allait pendre naissance et faire des ravages, nous parlons ici du Sida. Également nous voyons que les gens ont tendance à s’éloigner de la religion », explique l’Imam.
Toutefois les signes qui indiqueront que la fin du monde est imminente ne sont pas encore visibles. « Comme annoncé par le Prophète, des événements importants se succéderont juste avant la fin du monde, et ces signes constitueront un message clair à l'attention de l'humanité annonçant le début de la fin. Parmi le lever du soleil à l'Ouest, l'apparition de Daddjâl, entre autres », précise l’Imam.
Pour le père Jean-Maurice Labour, la fin du monde arrivera, mais nul ne sait quand. « Dans l’Évangile, quand les disciples ont demandé à Jésus quand se produira la fin du monde, il a dit qu’il ne savait pas. Maintenant quand je découvre que certains sont en train de prédire la fin du monde pour cette année, je ne peux qu’en rire », confie le Père Labour.
Toutefois, il ajoute que les sectes jouent sur la peur de l’être humain de la fin du monde pour attirer les fidèles vers eux…
« Certains vont certainement y croire. Mais les catholiques ne doivent pas croire à ses rumeurs. La fin du monde va effectivement se produire, mais on ne sait pas quand », ajoute le Père Labour. Le Pandit Dabeedeen, du Santoshi Mata Mandir, n’y croit pas également. Pour lui, les théories avancées sont non-fondées et les gens ne devraient pas se laisser berner par tout cela.
La NASA balaye les rumeurs sur la fin du monde en 2012
La NASA est formelle : la fin du monde n'est pas pour 2012. L'agence américaine a pris l'initiative de répondre sur son site internet, point par point, aux théories apocalyptiques qui déchaînent les passions depuis quelques mois, notamment sur le Web.
Accusée de désinformation et prise de court par la vitesse de propagation de ces rumeurs apocalyptiques, la NASA, visiblement inquiète, a choisi de publier sur son site un argumentaire assorti d'un 'questions/ réponses', pour mettre un terme aux polémiques.
« Les scientifiques dignes de ce nom dans le monde savent que 2012 n'est associée à aucune menace particulière », martèle la NASA. « Nairibu et toutes les histoires autour de planètes sont des rumeurs qui circulent sur Internet. (...) Si la Terre risquait d'être heurtée par un astéroïde ou par une planète X, les instruments astronomiques actuels auraient déjà repéré un tel objet depuis au moins 10 ans ».
Au sujet du calendrier Maya, l'agence est catégorique : « Tout comme le calendrier accroché au mur de votre cuisine se poursuit au-delà du 31 décembre, le calendrier maya se poursuit au-delà du 12 décembre 2012 (...) Et tout comme votre calendrier reprend son cours au 1er janvier, un autre cycle long commence pour le calendrier Maya », explique-t-on aux internautes.

« Je vis chaque jour comme si c’était le dernier. Je profite et prends plaisir à chaque chose. Je pense que la situation générale sur la planète se complique de jour en jour et en admettant que cette année soit la dernière, je serais entre deux feux : profiter au maximum de tout avec les conséquences sur les autres que cela implique ou comme ma nature me guide, rester modéré et continuer avec ceux et celles qui en ont besoin au quotidien (Pils, la Croix Rouge, etc). Au fond de moi, je sais que la fin du monde n’arrivera pas, et je pense que je choisirai la seconde option. Je suis d’un naturel optimiste. »

« Je suis avant tout une croyante. Si cela doit arriver, ce sera la volonté de Dieu. Puisque ce n’est qu’une supposition, je pense que je vais vivre ma vie normalement. Je vais continuer à œuvrer pour les gens et pour ma circonscription. J’accorderai une attention particulière à ma famille. La prière sera une chose assurément au quotidien. La chose la plus folle que je pourrais faire sera une longue croisière en famille. »

« C’est Dieu qui décide. Pour moi, ce sera le train-train quotidien. J’ai toujours vécu dans le respect des principes de ma religion et selon les enseignements de mon prophète. C’est ce que je vais continuer à faire jusqu’à la fin. »

Je rappellerais mon fils qui étudie actuellement en Chine pour qu’on passe ces derniers instants en famille. Je ne crois pas en ce mythe, mais tant que cela peut éveiller la conscience des injustes, laissons le régner ! »
